Montessori Alternative Provision
I’m Jessica Caballero, founder of Montessori Alternative Provision. I hold a First-Class Honours Montessori Early Childhood Graduate Practitioner degree and have over four years’ experience supporting children with SEND in alternative provisions and private settings. Continuing my studies I am working towards a Masters in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
I understand that every child’s journey is different. My mission is to meet each child where they are, and walk alongside them—helping them to thrive, grow, and succeed.

A Child- Led Approach to Learning
Montessori Alternative Provision offers specialised learning experiences for children with SEND. I work with children in their own homes or in community spaces, where they feel safe, supported, and free to learn at their own pace.
Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, my approach is:
- Child-led
- Respectful of each child’s interests and needs
- Focused on holistic development
Sessions are carefully tailored to each child’s unique profile and learning targets, blending structure with freedom, and offering space for exploration, movement, and creativity.
Hands-On, Meaningful Learning
I bring a wealth of authentic Montessori resources designed to support all areas of the curriculum—from early literacy and numeracy to sensory exploration and life skills. These materials are self-correcting, purposeful, and encourage independence through self-directed learning.
Children are free to follow their curiosity, make choices, and engage in work that’s developmentally appropriate and personally meaningful.
Individualised Learning Plans
To ensure families and professionals are fully involved in the learning journey, I use a secure digital platform to document your child’s progress. After each session, you’ll receive:
- Personalised updates and observations
- Photos of your child’s activities and work
- Notes on emerging interests and skills
- Reflections and next steps
This creates a transparent, collaborative process, helping the team and family around the child stay informed and connected every step of the way.

I work with children aged 3–11 with a range of additional needs, including:

- SEMH needs
Whether you're a parent or professional with a child who is out of school, being home educated, or simply needs a different kind of support, I offer a flexible, nurturing alternative to mainstream approaches.
One-to-One, Taylored Learning
Each session is one-to-one and fully personalised to your child. I design learning plans that support EHCP targets and build on your child’s interests—creating meaningful, engaging experiences that help them thrive.
